While I have had the app for a couple of years, I began seriously posting art content in March of 2021. My content mostly features fast paced animatics experimenting with different art styles and color palettes. I work with both original concepts and content based on video games / TV shows that inspire me.
TikTok poses a very unique challenge: since the videos on the platform are in portrait orientation, I need to adjust the framing as well as the positioning of the characters in order to properly fill the space. Working with the app's algorithm has encouraged me to post regularly and ensure my visuals capture the viewers' attention to keep them from swiping away. Posting on TikTok has also allowed me to greatly increase my ability to use framing and timing to help tell a narrative.
